Eco Multi Purpose
A reduced-peat compost for cuttings, rooting, planters and hanging baskets. Ideal as a growing medium and for soil improvement.
Uses
  • Reduced-peat soil improver ideal for breaking up heavy soils and adding organic matter to sandy soils
  • Improves water retention and drainage
  • Used for seeding, cutting and planting trees and shrubs
Restrictions
  • Do not use as a medium for acid loving plants (eg Rhododendron)
  • Do not use as a top dressing for fine turf - see ECO Dressings

The following text should be copied and pasted into documents by architects, landscapers and other specifiers when inviting tenders which should include ECO Multi Purpose.
Product information
The product to be used shall consist of a matured peat-free compost made from composted botanical residues. Graded particles of no larger than 12 mm with a substantial amount of organic fines, pH to be around 6.5. The product is to be free of physical contaminants, viable weed seeds and pathogens and shall be untreated by any additives.

Application Rate
Mix in / pot with (insert quantity) of ECO Multi-Purpose Compost per square metre. Product samples to be provided upon request.
