Expanding organics recycling firm Eco Sustainable Solutions has appointed Rob Wareham to the new post of Transport Manager.

A former Bournemouth branch manager for UK express delivery service Initial City Link, he joins Dorset-based Eco from recruitment agency Smart Group.

His new role involves the transportation of stock as well as ensuring structures are in place to monitor the flow of goods and materials, delivery times, transport costs and performance evaluation.

A key part of the job is also to liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers and produce new solutions to logistical problems.

“Eco is a successful and expanding company and I’m delighted to join the team,” said Rob.

Founded in 1994, Eco is one of the UK’s leading organics recycling firms, annually processing 140,000 tonnes of material on its 14-acre site at Parley, Dorset. End products include turf, enriched topsoil, compost and woodchip.

The company employs 29 staff and had an annual turnover of £4.8 million for the year to December 31, 2007.
