Former rugby player tackles new challenge at Eco (posted 13/11/2009)Former rugby player Jim Mason is tackling a new challenge for one of the UK’s top organics recycling firms.
The ex-Salisbury and Swindon fly-half has been appointed Hampshire Sales Manager by Eco Sustainable Solutions Ltd.
Father-of-two Jim will manage Eco’s new organic waste recycling depot at Botley near Southampton.
He’ll also seek out sales opportunities for Eco’s products and services at the firm’s 14-acre site at Parley in Dorset.
Jim has more than 30 years’ experience of the building materials, aggregates and recycling sectors including working for companies in Swindon, Southampton and Wimborne.
Peter Hardy, Eco’s Sales Manager, said: “Jim is a great catch and we’re delighted to have secured his services.
“We have big expansion plans for the future and look forward to Jim playing his part in achieving them.”
Founded in 1994, Eco annually processes 150,000 tonnes of material at Parley. End products include turf, enriched topsoil, compost and woodchip.
The company, which employs 32 staff, has an annual turnover of more than £5.5 million.
