Eco Tree & Shrub
Nature's Traditional compost - a slightly coarser grade of ECO Mix, but with added nutrients and a lower pH of 6.5. Ideal for establishing young plants.
Uses
  • Peat-free soil improver ideal for breaking up heavy soils and adding organic matter to sandy soils
  • Improves water retention and drainage
  • Used for planting trees and shrubs
Restrictions
  • Do not use as a growing medium
  • Do not use for acid loving plants (eg Rhododendron)
  • Do not use as a top dressing for fine turf - see ECO Dressings

The following text should be copied and pasted into documents by architects, landscapers and other specifiers when inviting tenders which should include ECO Tree & Shrub.
Product information
The product to be used shall consist of a matured peat-free compost made from composted botanical residues. Graded particles of no larger than 12 mm with a substantial amount of organic fines, pH to be around 6.5. The product is to be free of physical contaminants, viable weed seeds and pathogens and shall be untreated by any additives.

Application Rate
Mix in / backfill with (insert quantity) of ECO Tree & Shrub per square metre / plant to be treated / planted. Product samples to be provided upon request.
