Eco process 20,000 tonnes a year of mixed wood from the County council, local authorities and commercial sources. The wood is run through 2 shredders, first a slow speed and then a high speed, to produce a uniform chip size. In addition, both shredders have 'over band' magnets to extract all the ferrous metals which are collected and sent off for recycling. The woodchip is then supplied to either chipboard manufacturers or biomass plants for power generation.
