Role: Loading Shovel Operator
Reporting to: Site Manager
Working Hours: 07:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (Some Saturdays Required)
Contract type: Full-time, Permanent

Purpose:

Operate and maintain heavy plant machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain heavy plant machinery, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Conduct daily checks, defect reporting, and maintain operational records.
• Monitor and maintain product quality standards.
• Follow all company procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety.
• Identify and communicate maintenance needs to Managers for preventive action.
• Keep accurate records of production, compliance, and operational checks.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the site.
• Support the implementation of new machinery, processes, and technologies.
• Work collaboratively with operators and site teams to meet production targets.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and delivery drivers.
• Attend training and stay up to date with best practices.
• Proactively suggest and implement efficiency improvements.
• Assist in providing cover for the Weighbridge Operator when required.

Qualifications / Experience Required: Driving a Wheel Loading Shovel: 1 year (preferred)

Language: English (required)

Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)
